Mpls - of Minneapolis, Minnesota passed away peacefully on May 22nd, 2026 at the age of ninety after a short battle with a serious infection. Janet was born in Blair, Wisconsin and moved to St. Paul shortly after graduating high school. She was one of four children born to Sven and Minnie Johnson, including brothers Duane, James and Gary. She met her husband Paul Applequist shortly after moving to St. Paul, and they enjoyed a marriage of more than sixty years. She gave birth to four children; Teresa Mann, Cynthia Trousdale, and twins John and Gary Applequist. Janet was a very proud grandmother of eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
