Brooklyn Center - 76, of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, passed away suddenly on September 19, 2025. Born October 26, 1948, in Minneapolis to Sidney Douglas and Adeline (Lindgren), Jan was an extrovert who loved dancing, music, and socializing. She worked in cosmetology and as a paraprofessional at Jefferson Elementary. In 1982, she welcomed her only child, Jason Michael Douglas, who became her pride and joy and relished the single mother life. She bravely defeated stage 3 breast cancer in 1997. Jan took pride in Jason's graduation and college completion. She became 'Grammy Jan' with the addition of furbabies Calli, Tyson, and her granddaughter, Sophia Sydney Douglas, born September 19, 2022. Jan was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jack, Ethel Dulgas (1975), maternal grandparents Jacob (1947) and Louisa (1919), parents Sidney (1970) and Adeline (1974), and beloved Dogs Lady (1971), Calli (2018), Tyson (2019), and Bailey (2025). Jan is survived by her son, Jason (Lacey), and her granddaughter, Sophia.
