Mpls - Jane Reardon Hawkins April 27, 1954-November 28, 2025 Born in Elmhurst, IL, to parents Robert J. & Josephine Carr Reardon. Survived by husband of 38 years Charles L. Hawkins, and daughter Eleanor Hawkins. Eldest of nine siblings Jane is survived by Patty Reardon (Bill Coleman), Mary Waara, Cathy Reardon (Jim Hagstrom), Daniel Reardon, Sarah Reardon, and Robert J. Reardon, Jr. along with numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Robert and Josephine Reardon, brothers John (Jack) Reardon and Michael Reardon, father-in-law and mother-in-law Harris and Lois Hawkins of Omaha, NE; and her sister-in-law Dr. Patricia Hawkins. Survived by sister-in-law Kathy Hawkins (Kandie Borchman) of Omaha, NE, as well as her niece and extended family. A proud graduate of the Convent of Visitation ('72). Jane dedicated her life to caring for others as a registered nurse. Over the course of 46 years, she served in various hospitals, worked as a substitute school nurse, and contributed to countless healthcare ministries - forming cherished friendships along the way. Jane endured 5 1/2 years of ongoing treatments for multiple myeloma including a bone marrow transplant, CAR-T cell therapy, radiation, and copious chemo-combo treatments. She received compassionate care from Dr. Aimee Merino and Eva Ssentongo (APRN, CNP) at M. Health Fairview Oncology/Hematology. Jane had lasting and treasured memories of Breckenridge, CO, hunting in Ashby, MN, obedience training of countless Labrador retrievers, and beloved family and friends from Lake Miltona and the ABCL. She was a woman of unwavering faith who walked humbly with the Lord and embodied grace, dignity, and a gentle and courageous spirit. Upon her father's passing, she celebrated 30 years of living one day at a time, in her quiet unabashed manner guided by Solomon's observations in Ecclesiastes: To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven, a time to be born and a time to die, a time to laugh and a time to weep, a time to mourn and a time to dance. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has set eternity in the human heart, yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. Her body will be generously donated to the Anatomy Bequest Program at the University of Minnesota, contributing to medical education and research. A private service will be held at Hamline United Methodist Church in St. Paul MN with Pastor Mariah Furness Tollgaard and staff. A Celebration of Life to be scheduled at a later date. The family asks that any memorial contributions be made to the Myeloma Discovery Research Fund University of Minnesota Foundation Fund (25466) or The Retreat in Wayzata, MN in honor of Jane Reardon Hawkins.
