He enjoyed time fishing at Lake of the Woods with his friends and grandchildren. He also enjoyed a good game of golf and rooting on his old softball team. He loved the Minnesota gopher football games, the Twins and the Vikings. He also loved his travels to Puerto Vallarta Mexico. Jim cherished his family above all and was always there for them.

Jim served in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S Independence as an air crewman on helicopters.

Jim will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Especially his two daughters that he loved dearly. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, November 16th, at the Anoka Legion Post 102, from 11-4, with a short service from 11-12, followed by lunch and a time to reflect. In lieu of flowers he wanted donations to be made to the Anoka Legion Post 102.

Jim will be buried at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Friday, November 21st, at 11am with full military honors.

Our family would like to thank the Allina Hospice team and Brightstar services. A special thank you to Nurse Jordan, and Holly and Cassandra for all the love and support you gave to our Dad and our family.
