Wayzata - of Wayzata passed away April 12, 2026 at the age of 79, following a stroke. Jim lived a quiet life with an enduring connection to the land and water he called home. He was happiest with his hands in the dirt, tending to his beautiful flowers.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Edith; his siblings Marion, Robert (Sue), Arline (Fred) and his nephew David; great nephew Owen.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Patty, who was his steadfast partner and the center of his world; In-laws Jean and Mark (Barb); Nieces Ann (Risto) and Jean, nephews Scott (Lisa), Mark, Charles (Kimberli) and special nephew Jason (Sarah).
A private interment with military honors will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
