Crystal - Age 87, of Crystal, MN formerly of Plymouth, MN and Danbury, WI. Passed away on September 29, 2025. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Helen Bies; brothers, John Bies and Fred Bies

Jim was caring and compassionate, with a great sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Jim loved God and spent his life serving and trusting in Him. He loved his family, enjoyed designing and building houses, hunting, fishing and spending time at the cabin. He enjoyed animals and wildlife.

Survived children, Julie (Steve) Mattson, Chris Bies, Wendy (Darren) Lucht; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister, Kay Alsaker.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 6th at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 Wayzata Blvd. East, Wayzata, MN 55391. Visitation will start at 1:00 pm, Service to follow at 2:00 pm. Graveside burial service will be Tuesday, October 7th at Webb Lake Cemetery, River Road, Danbury, WI at 11:00 a.m.
