Snyder, Helen Jane Robinson was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away peacefully on October 31st, 2024 at age 95. She was born on November 2nd, 1928 in Watertown, SD to Richard and Rose Robinson. After graduating high school, she attended Carlton College in Northfield, MN. She would go on to enjoy a career in education for over 30 years before retiring from teaching English and Spanish at Mound Westonka Public Schools. Helen had an immense love of reading and knowledge. She shared her adoration for books through gifting them and even spent her post-retirement days volunteering at the Ridgedale Library's book store. In her quest to "stay sharp" she mastered crossword puzzles, maintained computer literacy as the internet age came about, and even purchased a Nintendo 64 so that her grandkids could play brain-games with her. Helen traveled to many European countries with her sister, Carol, bringing home coins and treasures to share with her grandkids. She was also very fond of cats, nearly always keeping one, if not two, Persians or Siamese. Just prior to Helen's passing, she enjoyed a family reunion and many subsequent visits from family who loved her very much. She is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren, many great-grand-children, and extended family who considered her as their grandmother. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service, all on February 8th at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave S, MPLS, MN 55419.
