Helen Christensen Obituary
Lakeville - Christensen, Helen 92, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025. She was born in New Jersey on October 28,1932 to Seth and Lucy McCormick. The family moved to Iowa where she met her beloved, Jay. Helen and Jay married on June 6, 1959. They had 65 years together before he passed away on July 10, 2024. She was a longtime volunteer of more than 30 years at Fairview Southdale. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Jean (Skip) Spang, Karen (Steve) Geronime, Sue (John) Wilkie, and Sandra (Shannon) Huber; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mom never failed to wave goodbye and we imagine she did just that on her way to heaven. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 22.
