Bloomington, MN - Glenda Faye Mehlan (née Armstrong) was born in Wichita, Kansas, on October 10th, 1948, to Harold Glenn and Emma Faye Armstrong. The youngest of three children and their only daughter, she spent her early years in Wichita before the family moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, then Palo Alto, California, and finally back to Minneapolis, which would become home.

In 1976, she married Ward Mather Mehlan in Minneapolis. Though they later went their separate ways, they remained friends and jointly raised their two sons. She later returned to the workforce, first in advertising, then in the casino gaming industry, and finally in special education until her retirement.
Glenda passed away peacefully on April 22nd, 2025, at the Minnesota Masonic Home in Bloomington, MN, after a long struggle with her health. She was 76 years old.
