Mpls, Minnesota - Gerald Thomas (Jerry) Carroll, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully at The Waters on 50th on February 23, 2026. He was 95 years old.

Jerry was born to Gerald and Mildred Carroll on September 6, 1930. He attended Annunciation Catholic School and Washburn High School, class of 1948. After serving in the US Air Force, he went to college and law school at the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1955. He had a distinguished legal career spanning 65 years, specializing in estate planning, real estate and getting his kids out of trouble. He was an accomplished trial attorney, a member of the Minnesota State and Hennepin County Bar Associations, a board member at the Minnesota Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility and taught continuing legal education seminars.

Jerry treasured time spent at his cabin on Deer Lake in Wisconsin with Janice, his wife of 70 years, family and friends from Beta Theta Pi and beyond. He was an avid duck hunter, a sports car enthusiast and a pilot in his younger days.

Jerry was predeceased by his parents and older brother John (Bud). He is survived by his wife, Janice; children, Jeff (Elizabeth), Nancy Engh (Rolf), Dave (Sherry) and Sandy Seitz (Steve); 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, Linda Carroll, and longtime legal assistant, Vicki Russell.
