Plymouth, MN - Gerald Floyd Beasley Jr., age 69, of Plymouth, Minnesota, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 28, 2025, in his home surrounded by family.

Born on January 3, 1956, in Duluth, Minnesota to Gerald and Eileen (Lanthier) Beasley, Jerry lived a life marked by faith, service, and adventure. He was known for his devotion to family and hard work.

In his younger years, his family moved around the U.S., eventually settling in Ramsey, Minnesota, when Jerry was in high school. Upon graduation, Jerry entered the Army to help pay for college. He was the first in his family to graduate from college, eventually earning his master's from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

He met the love of his life, Cheryl Helling, and they were married on April 3, 1982. They were blessed with two daughters, Elizabeth and Tara. He diligently provided for his family by working in Information Technology for over 40 years. He was a loving husband and father who will be greatly missed.

Jerry made the most of life. He enjoyed traveling with family and friends, boating, taking his grandkids water tubing on the lake, and day trips with his wife on the motorcycle. He was known to be quiet but always had a well-timed joke. He was a hard worker and generous to those he loved. He had a steady faith and was known for his positive outlook on life, trusting that God will work all things together for good, to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Rom 8:28).

His memory will be cherished by his wife of 43 years, Cheryl; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Jeremiah Knoop of Brooklyn Center, and Tara and Jacob Gliniany of Long Prairie; five grandchildren, Daniel Knoop, Aukeem Knoop, Troy Knoop, Asher Knoop and Grace Gliniany; two sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Nicki Larson, and Debbie and Larry Espeland, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on 2026-01-10 at North Center Baptist Church, 6601 68th Ave. N. Brooklyn Park.
