Geneva Elaine Middleton

Geneva Elaine Middleton (nee Keller) was born August 1932 in Litchfield Minnesota to Gladys and Willard Keller and passed August 2025. She was at her current home in Golden Valley Minnesota, as was her wish.
Geneva was a perpetual Student eventually receiving her PHD in Education. She was also an Academic by Profession as a Teacher, Principal and Dean at Normandale College. Always supporting community involvement from her children's clubs, to community preservation efforts (including selling her home to become part of Anderson Lake Preserve) and bi-partison League of Women's Voters for many many years.
During her life she was lucky to have loved and married two amazing men. Her first love and father of her children Kenneth Frank Middleton. After he passed in 1980 she spent years unmarried and loving life as a single woman, built a weird and wonderful ShipHouse in Victoria where there was "plenty of room for a guest....for one night". Then she met and eventually married her second love, Richard Sachs who was a consummate jokester and they built a well lived life together until he passed in January - 2010.
She is survived by her daughters Lisa Lane Middleton Williams, Lori Ann Scheerer and her son Brian Forrest Middleton who was her primary caregiver during her last many years. She had one grandchild Hannah (Jason) Montonye. Also survived by sister Delores Saunders of Texas.
As per her wish she was cremated and will be interred at Fort Snelling alongside her first husband. There will be a celebration and remembrance party at Crossroads Deli on 10/15/2025 from 3pm to 6pm. Please feel free to stop by and share memories of Geneva.
