Edina - age 92, of Maple Plain. Gary was born in Browerville, MN to Joseph and Louise (Waletzo) Gaida, on September 8, 1933. He was raised on a farm near Browerville and graduated from Browerville High School. Gary worked for The Great Northern Railroad Company. He entered the US Army and served in Korea. Gary is a graduate of St. Cloud State College. He spent his career with Iowa Mutual Insurance Company and Farmers Insurance Group. In 1960 he married Joyce Brichacek and they lived in Edina, MN. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and spending time with his family at their cabin at Battle Lake, MN.

Gary is survived by his son, Mitchell of Buffalo, MN and daughter Julie May of Minnetonka, MN. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sarah Gaida and Carson May; as well as his siblings, Laverne "Punky", Judy, and Mark.

Gary is preceded in death by his wife Joyce; siblings, Jim "Butch", Jeanette and Rita.

Memorial Service 11am Friday January 16th with visitation beginning at 10am at The Church of Christ the King, 51st and Zenith Avenue South, Minneapolis. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
