Minnetonka, MN - Gary Allen Bourg of Minnetonka, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, January 31, at the age of 82. He was born on June 20, 1943, in Hastings, Nebraska, and graduated from Hastings College with a BA in Mathematics.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Gerald (Pat) Bourg. He is survived by his spouse, Ann Harrison Bourg; his stepson, Tim Hoke (Susan); and his beloved grandchildren, Henry and Meredith Hoke.

Gary enjoyed a 35-year career with Wells Fargo Bank. He began in the Hastings, Nebraska branch as a janitor while attending college and served in many roles within the local branch. He was soon recruited into corporate Management Training and relocated to the Twin Cities. Over the years, he advanced through positions in branch management and bank operations, making a significant impact on bank automation.

Following corporate downsizing, Gary embraced his entrepreneurial spirit and became a small business owner. He invested in and operated a Sir Speedy print shop in downtown St. Paul, where he nurtured and supported many young people who worked for him.

In retirement, Gary devoted his time to volunteering at Mayflower (now Creekside) United Church of Christ, contributing to major buildings and grounds work and serving in project management.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Creekside United Church of Christ, 106 E. Diamond Lake Road, Minneapolis, on Monday, February 16, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 a.m., and lunch will be served following the service.

Interment at Creekside Memorial Garden will be held at a later date.
