Gabriel D'Annunzio Giancola Obituary

Fridley - Gabriel "Gabe" D'Annunzio Giancola, 95, of Fridley, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, and is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Leslie.

Gabe was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, Judge, attorney, and faithful Catholic. He was appointed Judge of the 10th District Court in 1990 and was a partner at Barna, Guzy Law Firm. He was widely respected for his integrity, kindness, and compassion.

Born to Italian immigrant parents from Rocarasso, Italy, Gabe carried strong family values throughout his life. He and Leslie were married in 1956 and shared 63 years together until her passing in 2019. He was a longtime resident of Fridley and a resident of Willows Bend.

Gabe was preceded in death by his wife Leslie and granddaughter Amber Rose Kimlinger. He was the last surviving sibling of seven children.

He is survived by his children: Mark (Jeanine), Paul, Peter (Linda), Lisa (Tom) Kimlinger, and Kristin (Dave) Carlson; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Church of St. William, 6120 5th St. NE, Fridley, with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Epiphany Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church of St. William or the Anoka County Food Shelf.
