Passed away on October 6, 2025 at age 77. Fred was born on September 28, 1948 in Lanesboro, MN to Edwin S. Brokken Sr. and Benita (Redalen) Brokken. He grew up in Harmony, MN. After graduating from Harmony High School, he attended Mankato State College and the University of Minnesota earning a degree in economics. Fred worked as a financial consultant with several firms before retiring.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Edwin Jr., James and Bingham Brokken, and brother-in-law James Bradt. Fred is survived by his wife Kay, son Brandon (Brooklyn) Brokken, daughters Anikka Brokken, and Elizabeth Mertes, sister Bonnie Bradt, brothers William and Thomas Brokken and many other relatives.
Fred was a loving father, husband, and brother.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
