Brooklyn Park - Age 95. Died peacefully surrounded by family on November 28th. Born in Waubun, MN. She graduated from Waubun High School. Married Wally Wermager in 1947. They moved to Minneapolis and later Brooklyn Park. After raising her family, she spent 18 years at Special School District No 1. She retired in 1994. Post retirement, she and Wally enjoyed spending winters in Mesa, AZ. Evy was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary. She loved traveling, dancing, and playing cards. She was the proud mother of three Eagle Boy Scouts and loved her family very much.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Wally; 4 brothers, Earl, Herman, Lester, Pete; and 2 sisters, Mabel and Gladys.

She is survived by her sons; Tom (Kathy), Bob (Vicki) and Bill (Connie) Wermager; six grandchildren, Amy (Chris) White, Tracy (Greg) Steinke, Chad (Kristen), Todd (Missy), Dan, and Ali (Bob) Hoffman; twelve great-grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Emersen, Elliana, Autumn, Jered, Violet, Emery, D.J., Milo, Sawyer and Ariel.

Evy is now pain-free and reunited with the love of her life!

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 8th, at 11:00 a.m. at Evan-Nordby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center. Visitation one hour prior. Lunch to follow. Private Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Christ Church Lutheran in Minneapolis or donor's choice.
