Rio Verde, AZ - 85, passed away on November 7th, 2025, in Phoenix Arizona.
She was born in Sibley, Iowa on December 31st, 1939. She was the oldest of three children to Donald and Anna Mae Madison. Siblings, Daryl and Bonnie predeceased Eunice.
She grew up in Iowa and Worthington, MN. She graduated from Mankato State with a degree in elementary education and went on to teach first grade. She married the love of her life, Lee Sanderson, July 28th 1962. They lived in suburbs outside Minneapolis and for a short period in Washington DC.
Eunice also taught Sunday school later on and continued her Bible study when they chose to retire in Rio Verde Az. Where she learned and took up golf in retirement.
Eunice and Lee have two children, Stephen and Kent (Debbie) and two grandchildren, Kaia and Gabriela. She was known for her big heart, kindness and gentle spirit. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at Community Church of the Verdes on November 22nd, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with a reception to follow at the Rio Verde Country club to celebrate the Life of Lee Bjork Sanderson and Eunice Marie Sanderson.
