Minnetonka, MN - Erwin (Erv) Chorn (92) was born in Bone Lake Wisconsin. Erv is preceded in death by his parents Mary Olive (Crete) and Ernest Edison Chorn, brothers Rohland and Wilbert, sons James and Kenneth. Erv is survived by his children, Tom (Sue), Candi (Don), Chris, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

Erv started his education at Sacred Heart parochial elementary school and finished at St. Joseph's Junior College in Westmont, Illinois in 1950. Erv attended the University of St. Thomas until he was drafted into the army in 1953 and finished his BA in 1957.

He was the president of Minneapolis Council of Community Council, national president of the National Rehabilitation Counseling Association. Erv volunteered for many non-profit organizations including the Minnesota Genealogy Society and was editor for 10 years.

Erv's reviewal will be on Tuesday, September 2nd at 10:00 am., mass to follow at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church on 44th St. in Minneapolis.
