Marathon, FL - Eric, "Rick" William Lattery, 57 passed away on May 8, 2025 in the Florida Keys.

Born on March 18, 1968 in Shakopee, MN, Rick was known for his deep love of family and a life richly lived. He found joy in kayaking, traveling, fishing, and exploring the outdoors--passions he eagerly shared with those closest to him.

Rick graduated from Lakeville High School and later earned his paralegal degree from Winona State University.

A loving father, son and brother, Rick's absence will be deeply felt by his daughter, Kelsey Lattery, mother, Carol Lattery, brother, Michael Lattery,(Beth), their children Maggie, Ian (Kayla) and son Theo, Molly Hampton (Stephen), sister, Cheryl Lattery (Tom Schreiber) and her children, Heather (Teddy/Bri,Teddy Jr, and Alex) and Matthew and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, and the Starman clan.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Dylan, and his father, Laurence.

Rick especially treasured the time he spent traveling with his children, sharing with them his love for nature, history, and discovery. These adventures created memories that will live on and inspire future journeys.

A Christian funeral service will be held on July 21 at 4:00 PM at St John's Lutheran Church in Lakeville, with a reception to follow.
