Plymouth - Born 9/11/45 in Louisville, KY, passed away 11/14/2025 in MN. Survived by daughter Courtney; son-in-law Tafadzwa; grandsons Lauden, Munesu, & Jaxson; extended family in KY; and dear friends. Preceded by wife Jane, and parents Ellis, Sr. and Sunshine. Ellis was a Writer for StarTrib, Exec. Dir. for Jostens, & Exec. Dir. for Grotto Foundation. He served on boards for the Science Museum, Twin Cities Jazz Festival, National Center for Non-Profit Boards, Independent Sector, Minnesota State Arts Board, United Way, Metropolitan State University, Turning Point, ServeMinnesota, Ordway, and Urban League. He attended UKY and was a member of ΑΦΑ, Boule; Monitors, and The Forty Club.
