Gebler, Ellen Kay of Bloomington, passed away on March 20, 2025. She was born in St. Paul on April 1, 1962 to Merlyn and Dorothy Sanford. Ellen is preceded in death by her father; brother, Curtis; and sister Lori Sanford. She is survived by her loving husband, John; son, Elijah; mother; siblings, Steven, Linda (Phil), and Daniel; and many other family and friends. Sweet Ellen went to heaven on the first day of spring-Thursday 3/20/25 around 11:40AM surrounded by her husband John and son Elijah. She peacefully went to heaven while Elijah was holding her hand on the Bible, as her favorite artist Lauren Daigle was playing. She had her hope in God and as we look to the resurrection, Jesus will awaken her someday. Ellen lived her life with love, joy, and determination. She loved deeply and cared for everyone around her, from family to friends and colleagues and was able to find joy in everything that she did. She led by example and with determination in every aspect of her life. Whether that was making sure Elijah was getting good grades in school, and at work making sure that everything was done properly. She was a Sunday school teacher for a few years and liked volunteering for the PTA and for Elijah's swim team. She loved going on nature walks, her hallmark movies, and a 2023 family Christmas trip to Chicago.
