Mound, MN - Elizabeth Jane (Betty) Mueller (née Veenbaas), 98, of Mound, passed peacefully on April 7, 2026.
She was born on May 7, 1927, to Wopka Cornelius Veenbaas and Clara (née Wiersma) Veenbaas in Brookings, SD. On June 13, 1948, she married her husband of nearly 70 years, Milbert (Mike) Mueller.
Betty is survived by her children Rebecca (Stephen Zuckerman), Jeffrey (Renee), and Lisa (Dennis) Mekelburg; her grandchildren Matt Mueller, Alyssa Haugen (Jonathan), Kate Varde (Carey Schueler), Aaron Holsonege (Donald), and Marissa Kuhne (Matt); and her great-grandchildren Maren Haugen, Schueler Varde and Grace Varde.
She was preceded in death by all of her siblings, her beloved husband Milbert (2018), her son Michael (2016), and her son-in-law Michael Gloege (2017).
A celebration of her life will be held later this year. Memorials and donations may be directed to Lutheran Social Services.
