Mpls - Age 92. Born in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, Canada, attended University of Minnesota with her sisters, where she earned multiple degrees. Married and raised her family in Golden Valley, worked at Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, advocated for many beloved causes, then lived her later years in St. Louis Park and at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis. Preceded in death by parents, Jacob and Maria (nee Loewen) Regehr; husband, Sheldon J Bernstein; siblings, Jacob, Henry, Hulda Clark, Willie, Irma Gawboy, and Leo. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Pam Bernstein; daughter, Ann Bernstein; grandchildren, Mara and Jack Bernstein; many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. A combined Memorial and Shiva service for Edna will be held this Sunday 09/07/25 at 2pm at Beth El Synagogue 5225 Barry St W, St Louis Park, MN 55416. No separate shiva will be held on Sunday evening. Sunday service also on zoom at www.hodroffs.com/EdnaBernstein Shiva will be held on Monday night at 7pm at Beth Jacob Congregation 1179 Victoria Curve Mendota Heights, MN 55118.
