Dory Einisman Obituary
Mpls - Dory Einisman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026 surrounded by family in Minneapolis. She was 79.
Born on August 21, 1946 in Santiago, Chile, to Isaac and Catalina Poliansky, Dory was the youngest of four sisters. In 1968, she married the love of her life, Isaac Einisman, who she met at a Jewish youth dance when she was 17. In 1970, they moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota with their 2 year-old daughter, Karin. Their son, Alan, was born a few months later. Although she lived most of her life in Minnesota, her heart and soul were always in Chile.
A lifelong educator, Dory was everyone's favorite preschool teacher. She had a gift for making young children feel very loved and special. While working at Adath Jeshurun's Gan Shelanu for more than three decades, she impacted thousands of kids and met some of her closest friends.
Dory's life centered on family. Her children and grandchildren were everything to her. Known as Lita to her grandkids, she never missed an important moment in their lives, no matter how small. She was their biggest supporter and number one fan. She cherished Sunday night dinners, family trips, and her time with her family in Chile. She traveled to Sanitago as often as she could to spend time with her sisters, nieces and nephew.
Dory will be remembered for her warmth, loyalty, generosity and dedication to her family and friends.
