Savage, MN - Doris "Dori", age 101 of Savage, MN, entered eternal life at Savage Senior Living.

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, she was preceded in death by husband, Donald; parents, Amos and Nancy (Sandberg) Jerome; 3 sisters; 3 brothers; and grandson, Samuel Taylor. Survived by sons, Lee (Marianne), Gary (Nancy), Robert, and daughter, Dawn (Edward Taylor); 20 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren.

She was born and raised in Pembina, ND, moved to Mpls. at the age of 17 and worked various jobs until her marriage to Donald H. Swanson in 1947. Happily married for 76 years, mom worked part time while raising her kids, sewing for neighbors and making tank heaters at Master Specialty in Savage, MN. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, cooking and being a mother.

Mom loved the Lord and her church, St. John The Baptist in Savage, MN. One of her proudest moments was when she converted our father to the Lord.

Visitation Tuesday, June 9, 2026 from 9:30-10:30 AM; Mass at 10:30 AM with lunch to follow, all at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4625 W. 125th St., Savage, MN. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
