Edina, MN - Doris S. (Dorie) Barman of Edina, MN, passed away September 29, 2025. Preceded in death by husband, Bob (N. Robert); parents, Ethel and William Booth; siblings, Abe, Ida, Anne, Hy, Joe and Reva. Survived by children, Bill, John (Cindy), Tom (Amanda); grandchildren, Cassidy, Olivia, and Natalie. Dorie was a wonderful woman with a keen mind and wit. Her smile always lit up a room. Dorie graduated from Drake University and later, with the responsibility of a family, she attended and graduated from William Mitchell College of Law. She was a maverick and a leader. She enjoyed practicing law, working long hours but always having time for her family. The youngest of seven children, she cherished her weekly phone conversations with her many siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins over the years. Dorie enjoyed volunteering and she led an Alzheimer's support group after losing her husband to the disease. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, walking, reading the paper, and spending time on the computer. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Assn.
