Donald G. Aalbers Obituary

Aalbers, Donald G. age 87, of Bloomington. Retired from Mpls Park Board. Served in WWII with the 15th Air Force 460th Bomb Group in Italy. He was a life member of Court House American Legion Post #310, where he was a Commander on three occasions, and the Fred Babock VFW. Member of Zuhrah Temple, Legion of Honor, Minnehaha Lodge #165 and 460th Bomb Group Assoc. He had a Volunteer Tree Crew at Fort Snelling for more than 10 years, along with other volunteering thru out his life. Survived by wife of over 65 years, Marlys; son, Larry (Janette) Aalbers; daughter, Linda (Phil) Comstock; grandsons, Greg Aalbers, Jeff (Michelle) Aalbers, Tony (Jamie) Oss, Joel (Kallee) Comstock, Nick (Casie) Comstock and Ryan (Lindsay) Comstock; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Hofstedt, Mary (Andre) Lacabanne; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Service 11:00 AM Friday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 4100 Lyndale Ave. S. Visitation one hour prior to service at church. Private interment Ft. Snelling.
