Donald Ray Ebel Obituary
Eden Prairie - of Eden Prairie, MN, husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on May 12, 2026 after his battle with Leukemia. Don was born in Hankinson, ND to Orin and Lila Ebel. He grew up in the small town in North Dakota until he joined the US Army in 1959. He stayed in the Army for 2 years before heading back to Fargo, ND. Don later met, his wife, Barb in Fargo at a mutual friends wedding. They were married in 1965 and later had their daughter, Cindy. From Fargo they moved to Richfield, MN and then to Bloomington. Don worked for the Star Tibune until his retirement. Don outlive doctors' expectations after being diagnosed with Leukemia in June 2024. He spent the last 2 year enjoying time with his family and in the care of the exceptional staff at All Saints Living in Shakopee, MN. Don is survived by his daughter, Cindy, his granddaughters, Kristi and Kayla, and 5 great-grandchildren, as well as his two brothers and sister. He is preceded in death by his parents and loving wife, Barbara. Funeral Service is at Washburn-McReavy in Eden Prairie on Friday, June 19th at 11 AM.
