Venice, FL, FL - Donald M Berg passed away after a short but mighty battle with lymphoma on Tuesday September 23rd 2025 in Venice Florida. Don was 79 years old and was born in St Paul MN to Martin and Elvera Berg.

In 1966, Don married his high school sweetheart, Jadynne, and they went on to have an adventurous and meaningful life together for 59 years. Three children blessed their life. Don liked to say that the reward for parenting was their grandchildren - they have 5 grandchildren that have all added joy and energy to the family.

Following graduation from the U of M, Don was privileged to join Land O'Lakes where he held various positions for over 35 years. He completed his career as VP of Public Affairs, and Corporate Communications at Land O'Lakes.

Upon retirement, Don and Jadynne kept their presence in Minnesota to be close to family with many weekends on lakes that included hours of pulling waterskiing and tubing grandchildren in his Starcraft. They established their residence in Venice, Florida where they both spent time volunteering, hosting family & friends and becoming active in their church.

Don was a great dad, and an even better "Papa" to his grandchildren. He enjoyed hearing about their latest adventures and his love for them will only flourish with them throughout their lives.

Donald was preceded in death by his sister, Marlene in August 2025, and also his parents Martin and Elvera.

Survived by his wife Jadynne. Children Michael (Kate) Berg, Paul (Chris) Berg and Missy (Dave) Lodermeier and grandchildren Michela, Grace, Lucas, Derrick and Joshua.

A Funeral and interment will take place in Minnesota on Saturday October 11, 2025 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Dassel MN. Visitation begins at 11am, Funeral starting at 1pm. Following fellowship, the family will be placing Don in his final resting place at Mt Hermon Lutheran Church, Annandale MN.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be gifted to tidewellfoundation.org/donate as the hospice house in Venice Florida was impactful in Don's respectful and meaningful passing.
