Mpls - Our beloved mom, passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 14, 2025 at the age of 95.

Born on February 4, 1930, mom is now resting in peace with those who preceded her in death; infant daughter Dolores Mary, daughter Jodie Leiss, former husband Joseph F. Ries, parents Joe and Agnes Bias, brother Jim (Sherry) Bias and sister, Margaret (Jack) Longie. She is survived by daughters, Sue Ries, Peg (Mike) Walsh, son Joe (Christi) Ries, son-in-law (the late Jodie) Marty Leiss; grandchildren Nicole, Tony, Katie, Tim and their dad Greg Lano; Tanner (Jodi), Nicholas (Lindsey), Jamie (Brenyn) and Danny (Rachel); great-grandchildren Kayla (Charlie), Everly, Sutton, Hattie, Liam and Theo; great-great-grandchild, Emery; sister, Beverly (Fred) Proell and many nieces and nephews. Mom shared a particularly close bond with her niece, Linda.

Our mom was a very strong presence in all of our lives. We will miss her dearly. Please join us in celebrating her life with a Mass of Christian Burial January 23, 2026 at the St. Joseph Catholic Community in New Hope at 8701 36th Ave. N. with visitation starting at 10am and Mass at 11am. Fr. Terry Rasmussen will officiate.

Please feel free to wear your most colorful clothes. Mom would have liked that.
