Champlin, MN - Dennis LeRoy Sharp, 88, of Champlin, Minnesota, lived a life defined by adventure, curiosity, and integrity.
Born in Minneapolis and raised in Bigfork, Minnesota where he attended Bigfork High School and met the love of his life, Yvonne, his devoted wife of 67 years. After graduating, he went on to earn his degree from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Wildlife Management.
A true self-starter and entrepreneur, Dennis built and ran a successful business that reflected his drive to build, explore, and create—qualities that inspired those around him and earned him deep respect in both business and life.
Dennis was a man of many passions, with a deep love for hunting, the outdoors, traveling, woodworking, and reading—among countless other interests. His adventurous spirit carried him across the globe, where he found joy in exploring new cultures and enriching his profound fascination with history.
Those who knew Dennis will remember his unwavering pride in his family, his work, and his word. He was a man who asked for little but gave endlessly of his time, skill, and heart. Strong, proud, and unshakably genuine, Dennis Sharp was a man whose legacy will live on in the hands and hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Yvonne, his two children Kelly and Kyle (Patty), four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
The family will be holding a private service, cherishing their memories of Dennis in the quiet company of those who loved him most.
