Dayton D. Hultgren

Hultgren, Dayton D. age 91, of St. Anthony Village passed away September 29, 2024. He was one of 9 children born in Karlstad, Minnesota to Harry and Alpha Hultgren. He is survived by wife of 70 years Ruth Ann Woods, daughters Barb Swan (Dale), Laurie Anderson (Steven), Karen Allen (David), son Steve (Martha), twelve grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. He received his B.S. degree from Mayville State University, his M.DIV degree from Dubuque Theological Seminary and M.A. and Ph. D degrees in Educational Psychology and higher education from the University of Minnesota. Dayton served on the faculty of Macalester College, and as president of United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities and San Francisco Theological Seminary. He directed development programs at the U of M, lowa State and St. Thomas. He ended his career with his own consulting firm HBH Associates. Dayton's kind heart and generosity touched many lives, and he will be dearly missed. Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
Tree Planting Timeline
Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
