Hultgren, Dayton D. age 91, of St. Anthony Village passed away September 29, 2024. He was one of 9 children born in Karlstad, Minnesota to Harry and Alpha Hultgren. He is survived by wife of 70 years Ruth Ann Woods, daughters Barb Swan (Dale), Laurie Anderson (Steven), Karen Allen (David), son Steve (Martha), twelve grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. He received his B.S. degree from Mayville State University, his M.DIV degree from Dubuque Theological Seminary and M.A. and Ph. D degrees in Educational Psychology and higher education from the University of Minnesota. Dayton served on the faculty of Macalester College, and as president of United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities and San Francisco Theological Seminary. He directed development programs at the U of M, lowa State and St. Thomas. He ended his career with his own consulting firm HBH Associates. Dayton's kind heart and generosity touched many lives, and he will be dearly missed.
