David L. White Obituary
North Oaks, MN - David Lowell White. Age 93, of North Oaks, Minnesota passed away peacefully at The Pillars Hospice in Oakdale, MN. Born in Athens, OH to Leslie and Florence White, David graduated from Ohio University before spending three years flying state-side with the Air Force as a navigator during the Korean War. He enrolled at Harvard Law School and after graduation moved with wife Suzanne and baby to St. Paul, MN, where he joined the Faricy, Moore and Costello law firm.
Two more sons were born before they moved to North Oaks. The family spent time during summers at a cabin on Star Island in Cass Lake until the boys discovered long canoe trips with the YMCA Camp Widjiwagan in the BWCA and beyond. Serving on the Widji Board and volunteering for Widji became one of David's main interests.
David is survived by wife Suzanne and three sons: Mason (Pam), Philip (Christina), and Edward and five grandchildren: Beatrice (Jai), Nora (David), Mason Fobes, Clotilde (Anthony), and Kalyna - - plus two great-grandsons Vijay and Richard.
Lieutenant Colonel David L. White will be interred at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A private remembrance service will be held late this summer. Donations may be made to Camp Widjiwagan, YMCA of the North.
