Minnetonka, MN - David (John) Robb, a man whose presence was as unforgettable as his Fourth of July parties, passed away peacefully at home in Minnetonka, Minnesota, on July 4, 2025. He was 82.

Born August 20, 1942, in Santa Monica, California, to Shirley Boyd and Jack Robb, David grew up in Southern California and attended high school in Norwalk. His first brush with the spotlight came early—appearing in the 1944 film Henry Aldrich's Little Secret. Though he left acting behind, his life remained full of Robb stories worth sharing.

David had four children while living in California. In the 1970s, he relocated to Minnesota, where he met the love of his life, Cynthia. They married in 1976, welcomed their daughter Michelle the following year, and built a life full of laughter, adventure, and unwavering commitment. Together, they worked in real estate throughout the '70s and '80s, and David later continued as a dedicated appraiser for more than 40 years.

David lived with a rare energy. He was the kind of person who made fast friends, fixed what was broken from hearts to water heaters, and brought people together. He loved motorcycles, camping, boating on Lake Minnetonka, and vacationing in the Caribbean. His gatherings were a reflection of everything he enjoyed most: laughter and friends.

More than anything, David loved his family fiercely and never hesitated to share how proud he was—especially when it came to his grandson, Elliott, whose accomplishments he talked about to anyone who would listen.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cynthia Robb; sister Cris Jennings, brother Edward Beardsley, children James Robb (Robyn), Sue Vivilacqua (Mike), Tracy Blankenship (Kelly), Steven Robb, and Michelle Tanner (Patrik); and grandson Elliott Tanner, who brought him immeasurable joy.
