Prior Lake, MN - David Alan Olson, age 74, of Prior Lake, MN passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025 in Fort Myers, FL. Born November 2, 1950, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, David was the son of Fred and Margaret Olson.

Dave met the love of his life, Denise (Beaudry) Olson at the age of 15 and they married in 1971. Together, they shared almost 54 years of marriage. He attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where he earned a degree in Accounting.

Dave established a distinguished career as a CPA, serving as a partner with Arthur Andersen, later working at Deloitte before retiring. Despite the demands of his career, Dave was a devoted family man and an avid sports fan. He made it a point to always be there for his children's soccer games, gymnastics meets, dance recitals, and hockey games. Even after a stroke impacted his speech and mobility, he remained passionate about sports and would always tell you what game was on or give you updates on the latest scores. Dave loved golf and cherished his winters living on Kelly Greens golf course in Fort Myers, Florida.

He is survived by his loving wife, Denise, who devotedly cared for him after his stroke for 22.5 years. He is also survived by his four wonderful children: Matty Olson, Benny Olson, Angie (Greg) Biltz, and Natalie (Mike) Randall; his 6 grandchildren: Samantha (Brian) Vullo, Jackson, Thomas, and Melissa Biltz, and Sophia and Hailey Randall; and his new great-grandson, Lucas Vullo, as well as his brother Bob (Wendy) Olson and many nieces, nephews, brothers in-law, sisters in-law and family and friends.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday May 10th from 12:00 - 4:00, with stories to be shared at 3:15, at Braemar Golf Course, 6364 John Harris Drive, Edina, MN 55439. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute.

Dave will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but we know he is now at peace, talking and golfing again, and enjoying a Ketel One tonic and lime, and his favorite Baccarat cigar.
