St. Louis Park, MN - David Kenneth Hafermann of St. Louis Park died March 15, 2026, from Alzheimer's Disease. He was 77.

Dave is survived by his wife of 54 years, Denise, and his children, Mark (Laura), Erin, and Adam (Jenna); his grandsons, Brandon (Chelsea), Alton, and Lewis; his great-grandchildren, Aylah and Arlo David; his sister, Paula (Dan) Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Patricia Hafermann, of Prior Lake.

Dave grew up in Prior Lake, served in the Navy in-country in Vietnam, was a firefighter, police officer, U.S. Deputy Marshal, and retired from the Marine Corps Reserves. He was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa, and we will miss him forever.

Instead of flowers, please give to organizations whose goals he supported: Shriners Children's Hospital, Marine Corps Toys for Tots, Burn Pit 360, Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, St Louis Park Hockey Association, and/or the American Legion; or give to your favorite cause.

A memorial service for David will be held at 11:00 AM on April 16, 2026, at the Minnesota Veterans Home - Mpls, Bldg 22, 5101 Minnehaha Av S, Mpls, with visitation one hour before.
