Coon Rapids, MN - David A Bailey, 85, of Coon Rapids, passed away on March 8th in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born on June 13th, 1940 to George and Evelyn Bailey. He attended the U of M and obtained a degree in psychology then went into the US Navy and served on the USS Mason for 3 years. He married Dorene Starck and had 2 children, Dan and Diana. They had been married for 56 years at the time of her passing. David loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandsons. He also loved fishing, camping and he travelled all over the US with his wife Dorene. David is survived by his son Dan (Rachel) Bailey, and his daughter Diana (Patrick) Randall; his grandsons Alex and Aaron Bailey; Zack, Austin and Rylee Randall and his brother Steve Bailey. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Dorene, his parents, George and Evelyn, and his brother Bruce Bailey. A memorial service will take place on Thursday April 30th, 2026 at Faith Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids, MN. Visitation will start at 10am, followed by a service at 11am and a luncheon at noon. He is deeply missed everyday but always in our hearts.
