Dan Patrick Gormley, 68, passed away on February 1, 2025 in Denver, Colorado, surrounded by his loving family.

Dan was born on January 13, 1957 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Patrick Gormley and Mary Kay Gormley (Armstrong). He grew up in Golden Valley, Minnesota, graduating from Golden Valley High School in 1976. He went on to attend The University of Oklahoma as a student athlete lettering in diving and graduating in 1981. He was a proud Sooner throughout his life.

On October 12, 1985, Dan married Lynette Wilde in Austin, Minnesota. They settled in Richfield, Minnesota, where they raised their two daughters, Erin and Allison.

Dan was an avid runner, completing 58 marathons and several ultra-marathons over the years. His dedication to staying active extended beyond running—he loved swimming, hiking and cycling.

Above all, Dan cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and an adoring grandpa to 6 grandkids.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, his infant brother Peter, brother Mike, sister Peg Coniglio and mother-in-law Mary Wilde.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Lynette; daughters Erin Brager (Kyle) and Allison Wilber (John); and his grandchildren: Cora & Evie Brager and Wyatt, Wesley, Walker & Macey Wilber; siblings, Tim (Jane) Gormley, Sean (Kay) Gormley, Terry (Ginny) Gormley, Maureen (Eric Zweber) Gormley; sister-in-law, Sara Gormley, brother-in-law, Ray Coniglio, father-in-law, Jerry Wilde along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss him terribly.

Funeral services will be held in Minneapolis at a later date.
