Dallas Andrew Ascher Obituary

Columbia Heights, MN - Dallas Andrew Ascher -

our loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, and good neighbor; was born May 4, 1964, and lived most of his life in Brooklyn Center, MN. Dallas passed away June 3, 2026. People absolutely loved him! He was a gentle soul, spirited, funny, and he abided by his own rules. Dallas suffered a TBI in 1981, but that never stopped him from living his life!

He persevered through many trials and, in the words of Gene Ascher, Dallas 'kept the faith'.

Throughout his lifetime Dallas maintained his interest in: skateboarding, journaling, watching baseball, basketball, and football games, playing the guitar, going to concerts, listening to music, baking chocolate chip cookies, and the most important ... eating vanilla ice cream!

He was one heck of a competitor in Cribbage and Scrabble!

Dallas will be deeply missed by siblings Deb, Rick, and Donna.

Dallas was predeceased by his parents Eugene and Rita Ascher, and leaves his earthly bonds enriched by his extended family: uncles, aunts, sister/brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. Cremation has taken place. Saturday, August 8, 2026, a graveside memorial will be held at 11:00 AM, Mound Cemetery, Brooklyn Center. Following will be a Celebration of Dallas's Life at Palmer Lake VFW - 2817 Brookdale Dr., Brooklyn Park.
