Chaska - D'Lis Almira Schmidt, age 68, died suddenly on January 29th, 2026, in Chaska, MN.
D'Lis Almira Schmidt, born 3/10/1957 of Lois Blacklock Swanson and Lyle Stanley Swanson grew up in Golden Valley and New Hope, MN and for the last decade or so has made her home in Chaska, MN where she had close friends. A large part of her life was working at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, for about 30 years.
Preceded in death by her parents, Lois Blacklock Swanson and Lyle Stanley Swanson, sisters Heidi Swanson Solberg and Susan Kalinoff, and nephew Shane Swanson. She is survived by her brothers, Kim Swanson (Pat Gleason), Mark Swanson, brother-in-law Dan Solberg, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial service to be held at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 5801 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis at 1:00 p.m. with a program at 2:00, on Sunday, February 15, 2026.
There will be a gathering at Kim and Pat's afterward.
