Cynthia Amundson ("Cindy") Obituary

Bloomington, MN - Cynthia "Cindy" Amundson, age 73, of Bloomington, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2026.

Born July 1, 1952, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to Don and Alice Amundson, Cindy grew up with a love of sports—especially softball—which was encouraged by her father.

After graduating from Lincoln High School, Cindy moved to Washington, DC, in 1973 and began her advertising career at Columbia Federal Savings & Loan and later The Hecht Company. Following the loss of her father in 1980, she returned to Bloomington, where she built a successful career as an Account Executive with Dunn & Bradstreet and later as an Account Manager with City's Best Marketing, where she dedicated 25 years.

Cindy loved downhill skiing, golfing, walking local lakes, shopping, happy hour food and wine, and cheering on the Vikings and Twins. She especially cherished traveling and spending time with her mother.

She was preceded in death by her father Don, mother Alice, and sister Lisa.

She is survived by numerous loving cousins: Dave Mattison (wife Kelly), Diane Hill (husband Rod), Becky Olfield (husband Tim); and dear friends Linda, Jennifer, Lynn, and Bill.

A private celebration of life will be held on June 20th.
