Andover - Sandmann, Craig Steven age 72, of Andover, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025. Born at Loretto Hospital in New Ulm, Minnesota, on August 30, 1952, Craig was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and friend. He was known for his great storytelling, deep love of music, and passion for bowling, golf, and hunting. Craig had a gift for making friends wherever he went, and his warmth, humor, generosity, and ability to connect with people left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He brought joy to every room he entered and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lucinda Sandmann (Hempstead); daughters CarrieJo Hoelzel (Sandmann) and husband Scot Hoelzel, and Cassia Beyer (Sandmann) and boyfriend James Cleveland; sisters Judy Forsell (Sandmann) and Suzy Guggisberg (Sandmann) and husband Jerry Guggisberg; and brother Doug Sandmann. He was preceded in death by his father Ezra Sandmann, mother Clarice Sandmann (Kjolstad), and brother Grant Sandmann. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Bunker Hills Golf Course in the Kendall's Tavern & Chophouse banquet room. All who knew and loved Craig are welcome to attend and share memories. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity in Craig's memory.
