NE Mpls - 51, passed away May 25, 2026. Born October 16, 1974, in Robbinsdale, MN, Craig was a proud NE Minneapolis native. He began his military career at age 17 in the Army Reserves and later served with the MN Nat'l Guard. After more than 27 years of service, including a deployment to Iraq with C Co, 134BTB, 1/34 BCT, he retired in January 2020 as a SFC. He later earned a bachelor's degree in Emergency Management and worked for the VA. Craig loved sports, video games, family road trips, bike rides and the city of Minneapolis. Above all, he cherished his family and was especially proud of his daughters. He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Boylan; father-in-law, Onnie Tapio; and grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Melissa; daughters, Tyler and Teagan; mother, Sandra Boylan; brothers, John (Kim) and Leonard (Kelly) Boylan; nieces, nephews, extended family, many friends, and fellow service members. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids, MN. Military Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 17, 2026, at 9:15 a.m. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. GearhartFuneralHome.com
