Bloomington - (83) of Bloomington MN passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026. Cliff was born on December 12, 1942, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, to Wilbur and Hazel Best. He was the second of their five children.
Cliff graduated from Mankato State University with a degree in Business and shortly after was introduced to his beloved wife Nancy. Cliff and Nancy married on February 16, 1974 and settled in Bloomington to raise two sons - Kevin and Darren. Cliff's professional life was in corporate logistics, routing freight for Control Data, Musicland, and Best Buy.
Cliff was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church of Peace, where he faithfully served as a trustee and generously gave his time wherever it was needed. Whether setting up tables, serving meals, shoveling sidewalks, or organizing camping trips, he quietly served others with a willing heart. He shared many of these acts of service alongside his lifelong friend, Steve.
Nothing brought Cliff greater joy than spending time with his boys and making memories with his family. Whether bicycling, fishing, golfing, camping, or sharing one of his signature dad jokes, he treasured every adventure and the time they spent together.
Cliff is lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Nancy; his sons, Kevin and Darren (Christine); his cherished grandchildren, Kyle, Natalie, Ryan, and Molly; his siblings, Ken, Bernice, Bev, and Lyle; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church of Peace, Richfield, MN, Friday, July 17 at 11:00am, with a visitation starting 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the United Methodist Church of Peace or the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center.
