Clement Gregory Cooper
November 24, 1935 - July 16, 2025
Clement Gregory Cooper, age 89, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025 surrounded by family and began his journey into the arms of the Lord and to be reunited with his beloved wife after eight years apart on this earth.
Preceded in death by wife of 59 years, Cherie Mae Cooper. Also preceded in death by parents Michael and Sophie Cooper as well as brothers Leonard, Richard and Eugene.
Survived by children Thomas (Beth) Cooper, Ann (John) Empkey, Mary (Steve) Weston and Charles (Jelena) Cooper; eight beautiful grandchildren: Tyler, Emma and Kelsey Cooper, Katelyn, Sara and Jack Empkey, Amy Weston and Dragana Kabic; family and friends as well as his special furry companion Porkchop.
Graduate of DeLaSalle High School and the University of St. Thomas.
Owner/operator of Coopers Market (1963 - 1986).

Funeral Service Wednesday, August 13, 2025, 11:00 AM at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4537 Third Ave. S., Minneapolis. Visitation one hour prior. Memorials preferred to Our Lady of Peace Hospice or Saint Joan of Arc church.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
