Claudia Jeanette Volner Obituary
Marcell, MN - Claudia Jeanette Volner, a beacon of light and love, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, in Minneapolis, MN, following a heart attack. Born on January 20, 1955, in Moose Lake, MN, Claudia's journey through life was one marked by creativity, passion, and wisdom, a testament to her indomitable spirit and her unwavering dedication to her family.
Claudia's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of her many roles— a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a doting grandma, and a supportive sister. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Bob Volner, and their daughters Tracy (Chris) Nelson, Kelly Mayer, and Emily Volner (Ricky Aldrich). Her grandkids Alexandra, Sydney, Kane, Nash, Hayden, Alaina, and Brecken will forever cherish the memories of their grandma's boundless love and the warmth of her kitchen. Claudia's legacy also lives on through her siblings Carl (Heidi) Neubauer, Mitzi Lynch, Nancy (Dennis) LaHaye, Roger (Tammy) Neubauer, and Paul (Tami) Neubauer, as well as her many nieces and nephews. She joins in eternity her parents Carl and Ruthanne Neubauer, her father/mother-in-law Richie and Betty Volner, her sister-in-law Judy Neubauer, and her brother-in-law Mike Lynch.
For 23 years, Claudia was the proud owner of Richie's Marcell Inn, where her creativity and passion for service flourished. Her innate ability to connect with people turned patrons into friends, and the inn into a community hub. Claudia's interests extended beyond the walls of her business. She adored spending time with her grandkids and family, cherishing every moment as a precious gift. Her love for her family was expressed through her exceptional cooking, each dish a masterpiece of care and affection.
As the family caretaker, Claudia always put others ahead of herself, earning her the title of the family's steadfast anchor. Her love for fishing, a hobby she enjoyed in all seasons, was only matched by her love for cross-country road trips, which quenched her thirst for adventure and discovery.
Claudia lived facing each day with courage and a zest for life that inspired all who knew her. Her wisdom was a guiding light, her advice a compass for those seeking direction.
Today, as we celebrate Claudia's life, let us remember the joy she brought into our lives. Let her passion for life and her love for family be a reminder of what truly matters. Claudia's story is one of a life well-lived, a journey well-traveled, and a love well-shared.
Her legacy will continue to resonate through the laughter of her grandkids, the bonds of her family, and the countless lives she touched. She has left an indelible mark on this world, and for that, we are eternally grateful.
