Plymouth, MN - Carolyn Laskey, aged 84, of Minnetonka Beach, MN, passed away peacefully on January 16th, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in May of 1941, in Wichita, Kansas, Carolyn, more commonly known as "Gummy" (Grandma), lived a life filled with kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family, friends, and community. She was the quiet heart and spirit of every gathering, bringing warmth and joy with her infectious smile and gentle spirit. She was the voice of encouragement who offered wisdom and comfort without judgment and the steady presence that made everyone feel at home, safe, and valued. Her ability to listen and offer quiet strength left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Carolyn (Gummy) dedicated her life to her family, her husband Bob, raising their children and being a constant presence in the lives of their grandchildren (7) and great grandchildren (7). She had a gift for bringing people together and she shared that gift freely with her family, friends, and her church community at St. Martin's by The Lake Church.

She is survived by Bob Laskey (spouse), Chris Cauffman (Laskey - daughter), Steve Cauffman (son-in-law), Julie Newell (Laskey - daughter), Sean Newell (son-in-law), David Laskey (son), Lee Anne Laskey (daughter-in-law), Brian Laskey (son) and all her grandchildren and great grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion. She was preceded in death by Robert & Olive Clift (parents), Bob Clift (brother) and her son Michael who passed away after only a few months after birth.

A funeral in the future will be held at St. Martin's by The Lake Church, along with a celebration of life gathering. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Martin's by The Lake Church in memory of her.

Her warmth and love will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
