Hopkins - Caroline Ruth Wickland passed away peacefully on February 16th, 2026, at Methodist Hospital. She was joined in heart and hand until the moment she passed with her beloved husband Bill.

Caroline was born on May 18th, 1947, In Minneapolis to Thelma and Eugene Wickland, the oldest of 5 siblings.

She was a Nurse at Methodist Hospital for 40 years working on the 7 West Ortho Floor, and 5 years at the Melrose Center where she offered kindness, dedication, and compassionate care to all her patients. She always said that her patients deserved her best.

Carrie is survived by her husband William, sister Julie (Mike); nephews and nieces; John (Deanna), Jennifer (Tim), Bill (Danielle), Kelsey (Ryan), Nick, April; Many cousins, great nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Eugene, her sister Valerie, and brothers Wesley and Ward.

Carrie enjoyed spending time with her family at the cabin on the North Shore. She loved her books, reading, music, history, road trips, coffee, and cookies, a true Swede.

Thank you to the excellent staff at Methodist Hospital for their wonderful care and living up to Carrie's motto of always providing your best. Thanks to family, and friends for their love, and support; And to our friends at Marketplace Lofts where Carrie loved to live.

Per Carrie's request, no formal service will be held. A gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date.
