Farmington - died Dec. 6, 2025 at age 84. She was born July 24, 1941 to Howard and Ethel (Glander) Engebretson in Watertown, South Dakota. After graduating from Detroit Lakes High School in 1959, she moved to Minneapolis where she attended cosmetology school and met her husband, Nicholas Terech. They married in 1961 and moved to Bloomington, Minnesota, where they raised five daughters. After Nick's death in 1993, Carole lived in Boston and Fergus Falls, MN, before settling in Farmington, MN, in 2009. Carole is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Marilyn and Sheryl, niece Colleen, and husband Nick. She is survived by her five daughters and their husbands: Katherine (Jeff) Ertle, Patricia (Tom) Fillipi, Mary (Terry) Varner, Elizabeth (Brian) MacDonald, and Janet (Joe) MacLaughlin; eight grandchildren: Tanya (Tony) Huot, Laura (Hayley) McCarthy, Jessi (Jon) Lane, Katy (Sam) Nord, Nick Varner, J.J. MacLaughlin, Jack MacLaughlin, and Maddie McCarthy; seven great-grandchildren (Hendrix, Hank, Charlotte, Jerico, Anniston, Keira, and Holly; nephew Allan (Sue) Garvey; grand nephews David, Mark, and Bruce; and grand nieces Alexis, Larissa, and Carole.

Her family and her many dear friends from Bloomington, Fergus Falls, and Farmington will miss her loving spirit and gentle, kind nature. Carole enjoyed creating beauty in nature and tended her many gardens faithfully. She lived her life in service to others.

Mass of Christian Burial 11:00, Friday, Dec. 19, at Church of St. Michael, 22120 Denmark Ave, Farmington, MN 55024. Memorial visitation 10-11 prior to service. Private interment at Lakewood. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Backpack Program at Church of St. Michael or the Farmington Food Shelf.
